The main features of tracked hydraulic drilling rigs are reflected in multiple aspects, including safety, operability, mobility, adaptability, energy efficiency, and intelligence. In terms of safety, their operation significantly reduces the physical labor intensity of workers. Regarding structure and operability, the working mechanism and power system are integrated, featuring small size, compact structure, full hydraulic control, and convenient and flexible operation; some models adopt modular design, facilitating easy assembly and disassembly, and clearly defining functional zones. In terms of mobility and spatial adaptability, the tracked walking method allows for convenient relocation, good maneuverability, and saves time and labor; its width can be less than 1.1 meters, and it can adjust its angle within a horizontal range of ±180° and its pitch range of -90° to +90°, as well as vertical lifting, fully adapting to the confined spaces of underground coal mines such as high (low) extraction roadways and belt conveyor roadways.

Regarding energy saving and efficiency, the hydraulic system is simple and easy to operate, and the propulsion speed is adjustable; it adopts a load-sensitive system, consuming little power when unloaded, and increasing power accordingly with increasing load, resulting in good energy-saving effects. In terms of functional expansion and rock formation adaptability, different drilling tools (such as high-pressure sealed triangular drill pipes and diamond composite drill bits) can be equipped as needed to adapt to rock formations of different hardness (e.g., f≤10). For stable drilling and positioning, a hydraulic cylinder vertically supports the top plate and rotary table mechanism, making rig positioning and stabilization faster and more convenient. Regarding automation, remote control operation is possible, and the level of automation and intelligence is continuously improving. Some products already possess functions such as remote-controlled movement, rapid downhole relocation, and automatic drilling with a single drill pipe.
